Our Partners

We believe we can reach the most people and make the biggest impact by partnering with Congolese organizations and people leading the charge in serving orphans and families in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Kimwenza

Our partner orphanage in Kimwenza, DRC is currently home to 76 orphaned children. It is not only an orphanage, but is also a non-profit that oversees and hosts vulnerable children from the street and young mothers in difficult situations. They facilitate family reunification, attempt to support needy families at risk of separation, and reintegrate children into the community.

In 2016, Live Beyond Words supporters provided this orphanage with potable water that not only impacted them, but also 1000 people in the surrounding community. You also provided the children of this orphanage with beds, mattresses, sheets, and mosquito nets. Thanks to your support and by God’s grace, 2017 marked the beginning of construction for a new six room school so children had safe place to learn and grow. In 2018 all six of the classrooms were completed. Also in 2018, construction began for a clean water well, as flooding destroyed the potable water system. In 2019, construction of the clean water well was completed – giving orphans, children, and the surrounding community accessible and sustainable clean water.

Also in 2019, we launched a farming project in Kimwenza. The goal of this years-long investment is to create a sustainable farm large enough to feed the children and provide income to account for other needs for the organization including teachers, medical care, and more. You helped provide the field workers training from Farming God’s Way where they learned practical farming skills alongside the Gospel and the beauty of God’s creation. The field workers saw their first successful harvest in early 2022.  This harvest is already allowing them to take steps toward self sustainability in feeding the children, buying essential medicines, and teaching the older children important life skills.

Samuel-Levi

Mama Jacquelin and her husband Michel are dear people with an incredible vision. Nicole met this amazing couple while living in the DRC. To Nicole and Ryan, they are more than partners – they are wonderful friends.

Mama Jacquelin and Papa Michel’s vision is to create and orphanage that is distinctly different than most. They want Samuel-Levi Orphanage to be a place where children feel loved, where there is harmony, affection, and happiness surrounding them each day. The space will feel like a true home, not just a building that kids live in. God answered years of prayer in 2018 when they found land and a building for this home! The children living at Samuel-Levi Orphanage will also get free tuition to the Samuel-Levi school – an incredible privilege and blessing in the DR Congo and the best way to break the cycle of poverty for these children. Mama Jacquelin now leads the Samuel-Levi school.

Our hope and prayer is to work to keep children with their families. If reunification is possible, we will work toward it. If not, we will work to give our best to the children what they need to be able to care for their own families one day.

Live Beyond Words is working to connect Jacquelin and Michel to the skills they have requested and raise funds to meet their building needs. You can help make this vision a reality through contributing financially, contributing your time and talents, and for praying for God’s continued guidance as we together prepare a space for orphans.

Joyce Medical Center

Papa Dido has a BIG heart for serving others. While doing social work around the capital city of Kinshasa, he identified a great need in the community of Maluku. He set out to establish the Joyce Medical Center to meet the medical needs the of the people living in this community. Papa Dido and his team at this medical center have compassion for serving the vulnerable members of this community.

The Joyce Medical Center serves young and old alike, but a great majority of those seeking care are pregnant mothers and children suffering from malnutrition. The medical team serve as Christ hands and feet as they minister to the needy in this community, and we have joined them in God’s work there. We look forward to seeing how God moves through this partnership and how He uses our faithfulness for His ministry there. You are invited to join us in praying for the medical center and all who pass through their doors that they may come to know and feel the love of Christ.

In 2022 Live Beyond Words assisted in the addition of running water and bathrooms at the facility which are essential to the treatment and well-being of the patients who visit.
