Faith In Action – 2022 In Review

Building on the past and focused on the future!

Joyce Medical Center

2022 brought the opportunity to provide clean, running water for our newest partner – Joyce Medical Center. The Joyce Medical Center serves the most vulnerable people in and around Maluku, DR Congo. The wonderful staff treats people of all ages – however, many of those who come to the center are mothers and children. They support mothers through pregnancy and the birth of their children in addition to follow up care after birth.

The center also provides nutritional support for children who are malnourished. No one is ever refused the medical care they need due to a lack of financial resources. The work this center is doing is improving lives in the community they serve.

We are excited about our continued partnership with the Joyce Medical Center and the amazing work they are doing.

In 2022, Live Beyond Words began a water project – to provide clean running water for use at the medical center and restrooms for the patients and staff. We look forward to seeing how God moves through this partnership and how HE uses our faithfulness for HIS ministry there.

We invite you to join us in praying for the medical center and all who pass through their doors.

Mheed Orphanage – Kimwenza

Thank you to everyone who has supported the agricultural project at our partner orphanage in Kimwenza! After some initial difficulties, they had a successful harvest this season.

The children are fed and more nourished than ever before. Several of the children, who are now grown, gained skills through this agricultural partnership and are able to live independently. Additionally, the income from excess crop sales were used for medical care and to make improvements to the children’s housing.

This is a promising beginning to helping the orphanage to become self-sustainable. We look forward to seeing the future development in agricultural practices as we near the next phase in the project.

Delphin’s Story – Continued

Thanks to the generous financial support and prayers from people like you, Delphin was able to receive surgery to remove much of the tumor on his eye that had been causing him so much pain.

In 2022, a long journey of battling travel restrictions and paperwork allowed Delphin and Dr. Bodrie to travel to South Africa to have the surgery performed.  The surgery went well but as with any ailment of this magnitude, Delphin has a long road ahead.  Please pray with us that God would stabilize Delphin’s health and life so that he would be able to share with others his faith and love of Jesus!
