Faith In Action – 2024 In Review
Joyce Medical Center
The Joyce Medical Center continues to provide much needed care for children and mothers around Maluku, DR Congo. Due to an incident that occurred with a patient, the center was shut down temporarily. By God’s grace the incident was remedied and the clinic was reopened. With the support of donors like you, the clinic was able to pay for the fees associated with reopening with minimal delay.
Mothers continue to have a place to get care while giving birth, and people who would not normally have access to care are receiving care!
Please pray for the many men, women, and children that pass through this facility every day and the many doctors and nurse who administer the care to them.
Delphin’s Story – Continued
We are excited to give an update this year about Delphin and his family! With a lot of prayer and seeking God for how to sustainably help this family be self sufficient, we implemented a model that has been a proven method for teaching and training families to be self sufficient.
The model gives the family a business loan and pays for food for the family while they are getting the business off the ground. Then, after they are making a profit they are able to become self sufficient and start to pay back the business loan.
Delphin and his family have had training and they picked out a location. They painted it and got it cleaned up. Then started selling! They were so excited to be a part of something positive for their family. Delphin has wanted to participate and he wants to be a huge help to the family. We are thrilled by how they are taking an active part in this opportunity that can change their lives!
